The Beatles – I’ll Be Back (A Tribute to John Lennon) HD

My tribute to a great, great man. I thought it was quite poignant to include the ER Doctor’s account here in trying to keep JL alive and the damage done to his heart, although a bit graphic; as John Lennon was famous for his big heart, metaphorically — in the romantic songs he wrote and sang, as well as his universal push for love and peace — including, ironically, the warmth he showed his would-be assassin earlier, who shot him point blank in the back later that tragic December night.

Very sad.. a needless waste of a hugely-inspirational and influential life and a highly-loved person. What else can you say, though we continue to grieve we still enjoy his work. “A big thank you JL!”

Song written by Lennon/McCartney. Released 10 July 1964 (on A Hard Day’s Night LP).

Most of the photos and videos are from around the time of the song’s release. It’s nice to see the lads enjoying a laugh with (British) comedians Ken Dodd and Morecambe and Wise.

I liked Elton John’s tribute to John Lennon (Empty Garden) from nearer the time, it can be found at:
